Article Abstract
The conventional gold standard for analysis of these cerebrovascular lesions is digital subtraction angiography. Although this technique remains the gold standard, we have determined that CT angiography is a useful adjunct for characterization and stereotactic localization before surgical resection or radiosurgical treatment of arteriovenous malformations. This multitechnique approach can lead to more accurate nidus localization and therefore more effective management strategies.
